BICESTER VILLAGE VIP SHOP + STAY
WITH COMO METROPOLITAN LONDON
(DECLARATION: THIS WAS A PAID SPONSORED TRIP, HOWEVER, ALL THOUGHTS ARE MY OWN)
Bicester Village is my favourite shopping mall for designer discounts in the U.K, so you can imagine my delight when they asked me to try out their New VIP London Shop + Stay in collaboration with COMO Metropolitan hotel in London part of the Como Hotels and Resorts group.
Because I’m based between Oxford and London I decided travel to Bicester village by car with Sotiris for the first part of the trip and leave my car overnight with the valet car parking.
So what does a VIP Shop + Stay at Bicester Village with COMO Metropolitan London include you might ask?
Accommodation at COMO Metropolitan London
Breakfast for two
Return train tickets to Bicester Village from Central London
Over 160 Designer fashion boutiques with prices up to 60% off the RRP
Hands-free Shopping service
VIP card with additional 10% off purchases
Access to the VIP space; ‘The Apartment’ with complimentary refreshments.
Complimentary delivery to the hotel (on purchases of over £1,000)
Sotiris and I settled in at The Apartment (VIP space) to meet some of the Bicester Village Team and collect our VIP Pass with an additional 10% discount off the Bicester Village prices. The Apartment is a relaxing, home decor Goals space, providing complimentary refreshments throughout the day.
Of course the rest of the day was spent in and out of the shops. Bicester Village is 1.2 Miles long and home to over 160 designer fashion boutiques. It also has the largest Ralph Lauren store in the world and the only Givenchy store in the U.K. I came away with purchases from Prada, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger and Tory Burch! I was extremely happy about my Bandoliera crossbody bag in a pale blue from Prada (RRP £700, I paid £340 from Bicester Village) so over a 50% Discount!
Whilst at Bicester Village we also enjoyed a delicious lunch from Farmshop Restaurant & Cafe, Bicester Village part of the Soho House & Co.
The farmshop is a 240-cover restaurant, open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The menu focuses on rustic British food, from old-fashioned classics to hearty farmhouse fare.
Paying respect to the Oxfordshire countryside, the décor has cobblestone floors, barn doors and exposed beams. There’s outdoor terrace seating and two private dining spaces.
We shared the Nocellara olives & bread, olive oil & vinegar with the King prawns, chilli, garlic & rocket to start and then I went with the Roast vegetables, halloumi & baby spinach salad with added chicken; Delicious!
At around 6pm we took the train into London from Bicester Village. Bicester Village Train Station is the only Station to be named after a shopping destination. The train takes just 45 minutes into Marylebone Station, central London and then it’s just a short Taxi ride to COMO Metropolitan London Hotel.
As we arrived quite late we decided to make use of our Park View Suite with its own balcony and order up soom room service whilst I did a unboxing and try on with all of my new shopping!
In the morning we had a delicious breakfast served up to our room with park views and managed to relax from all the shopping the day before by having a nurturing COMO Shambhala massage; using their signature blended massage oils to completely calm the mind and gently rejuvenate the body. It is an ideal massage for those who are looking to improve their general wellbeing and to rebalance their bodies and minds.
After we checked out we simply took the the train back to Bicester Village to collect my car but not before having another quick look around the shops and enjoy some refreshments from The Apartment before we set off home again.
I can highly recommend this package for anyone visiting London or just looking for a day trip to Bicester Village to enjoy these extraordinary shopping discounts! Can’t wait to come back soon.
